The movie brings the ancient secret organization, Illuminati and the Vatican together in a present day battle for control. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) a symbologist from Harvard and Vittoria Vetra joined forces to save Vatican from a very powerful bomb that threatens to destroy Vatican and the cardinals who is currently electing the next Pope. Leading them to save the Vatican was the clues left by the said member of the Illuminati who threatened to bomb the Vatican and paid somebody to fulfil his plan. In the end, they learned that the Chamerlegno (Patrick) who planned to blow Vatican and the one who killed the former pope (his father) and was ready to arrest him, unfortunately they were too late because he burned himself and died when he knew he will be arrested. In the book, no cardinal who survived and the one who become a pope is the cardinal who is leading the Conclave. This movie has a great storyline and I learned a lot from it, although the movie did not show what the story in the book but it is not that bad. Me think of course, they have to cut it short and change the ending of the story for the Vatican to approve. Although they are claiming that Angels and Demons is fictitious, however, some facts and history that was shown in the movie are true. From watching the movie, I learned some very interesting facts, for example, that the father of modern science, Galileo Galilei was once a priest and abandoned his priesthood to study science, was accused to be Illuminati by the church and was under house arrest until he died. And not just he, Isaac Newton, Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Bernini and greatest artist and physicist of all time was members of the Illuminati. This kind of story really interests and fascinates me. I really so much things in my mind right now but I am too tired to type about it about the conspiracy, Illuminate, CERN and anti-matter. I would suggest that you read the Decoded version of this movie to understand more about the movie. Since this is about the war between science and religion, why stop the fight and think that science was created by God to explain His works and to let us understand and realize how amazing he created us or the things around us.Monday, May 18, 2009
Angels & Demons Movie Review

The Haunting in Connecticut Movie Review
I am such a scared person but I do not know why I still watch scary and horrying movies, whether it is a Hannibal Rising type of movie, Bunshinsaba or just a simple predictable horror movie such as this one. I would say that this film is not that bad for a Horror Movie but it is not that good. The movie uses heavy flashbacks and it is kinda annoying although the sound effects scared me. The story circles in the life of Campbell family. Virginia Madsen played as mother of the dying teenager who is suffering from advanced cancer and taking him to the hospital for treatment and medicine are taking the toll on them that is why moved to a different state where hospital is near and is still affordable. Unfortunately, the house that they moved in was a former funeral parlour and still inhabited by angry ghosts. Her son who is dying becomes a channel to this spirits. The scary scenes of the movie are the scenes when Gallner (dying son) mashed the walls and found lots of bodies piled in the walls (no wonder why those walls are so thick) even in their ceiling. That is why they can't point where exactly they are because they [ghosts] are all over the house. Also the scenes when the faces of eyelid less ghosts appeared on the screen accompanied by a scary sound effect. Although this movie was said to be based from a true story critics said that they can't find any strong evidence to support the family's claim because of the inconsistency stories of the members of the family. And paranormal investigator interviewed the surrounding, upstairs and next door neighbour had seen no paranormal events and that the various happenings on the Campbell's residence were mundane, such as power shortage were they thought was caused by demons.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Movie Review
I so much love this movie! At first, I thought this movie was just another "He's just NOT that in to you" movie but it is not. This is just like the CLICK movie when Adam was given a chance to jump to different phases of his life until he got old and realized his mistakes and missed the important things and people in his life and wanted to go back to change everything (we cried). While this movie is about a player (Mathew) who was visited by 3 ghosts to try to change him from what he have become and to live a happy life with his childhood girlfriend (Jennifer). The story was very predictable however, there are scenes that are very emotional and maka-touch that I really like. I would say that the movie simply tells us that if you love/like a person you should tell that person how you feel and don't let PRIDE eat you, because you will feel so much pain in the end when you realize it is too late to change everything and your life will never be the same again! A must SEE!

Crank 2: High Voltage Review
There is no doubt that Jason Statham is a good actor and his performance in Crank (1) is outstanding that made us wanting for more, a sequel or continuation perhaps. The classic video game effect is not bad as for an introduction. Depicting the last scene in Crank that Chev fall from the sky. The next scene is that he is scooped in the street via a snow shovel by Chinese medics and remove him the scene and then followed by in the hospital where he sees doctor removing his heart and placed it in the red cooler. At first, I thought this movie is really that exciting and action packed just like the first one, but instead it was amazingly disappointing. It's more of a comedy movie to me rather than an action movie. I also think that other scenes in the movie are unnecessary although some might find it very entertaining. Lolz! Others are really unrealistic and the effects made it worst. In fairness, I love the scene where Kaylo is and is showing his fantastic and ala Bruce Lee moves. He really made me laugh! Also the part where Chester showed up sa karerahan. Aside from that... hmmm... ala na. No wonder why they ranked #6 in the box office in its first week.
