The Haunting in Connecticut Movie Review

I am such a scared person but I do not know why I still watch scary and horrying movies, whether it is a Hannibal Rising type of movie, Bunshinsaba or just a simple predictable horror movie such as this one. I would say that this film is not that bad for a Horror Movie but it is not that good. The movie uses heavy flashbacks and it is kinda annoying although the sound effects scared me. The story circles in the life of Campbell family. Virginia Madsen played as mother of the dying teenager who is suffering from advanced cancer and taking him to the hospital for treatment and medicine are taking the toll on them that is why moved to a different state where hospital is near and is still affordable. Unfortunately, the house that they moved in was a former funeral parlour and still inhabited by angry ghosts. Her son who is dying becomes a channel to this spirits. The scary scenes of the movie are the scenes when Gallner (dying son) mashed the walls and found lots of bodies piled in the walls (no wonder why those walls are so thick) even in their ceiling. That is why they can't point where exactly they are because they [ghosts] are all over the house. Also the scenes when the faces of eyelid less ghosts appeared on the screen accompanied by a scary sound effect. Although this movie was said to be based from a true story critics said that they can't find any strong evidence to support the family's claim because of the inconsistency stories of the members of the family. And paranormal investigator interviewed the surrounding, upstairs and next door neighbour had seen no paranormal events and that the various happenings on the Campbell's residence were mundane, such as power shortage were they thought was caused by demons.
